This stunning new arrival is a French antique Victorian Moonstone Trefoil Brooch crafted in 18k (XRF tested at 17.94k) rosy yellow gold framed in sparkling old Rose Cut Diamonds set in silver-topped gold with vibrant Ruby accents.
Three bezel set 9mm sugarloaf Moonstone cabochons with light blue flash color and mesmerizing adularescence take center stage in this charming trefoil flower design. The stem of the trefoil wraps around creating a beautiful frame of 50x Rose Cut Diamonds set in silver-topped gold, each measuring 1.5mm totaling an estimated .75cttw with great clarity for this type of small old cut. Finished with two Ruby accents that give the design a bright pop of color and measure 1.75mm and 3mm. The brooch as a whole measures 28mm x 36mm and has a total weight of 8.4 grams. This piece is in absolutely wonderful condition for its age, stunning patina throughout and hallmarked with a small (and pretty worn) French eagle’s head stamp on the pin.
