Crafted at the end of the 19th century comes this phenomenal 14k gold and silver Amethyst ring surrounded with a halo of glimmering foiled-back old rose cut Diamonds. The vibrant purple hue of the Amethyst cabochon is absolutely magical and made even more stunning by the rose cut Diamond halo creating a beautiful visual contrast. The Amethyst is prong set with yellow gold while the diamonds are in a cut down collet setting made from silver.
The face of the ring measures 13mm x 16mm making it a great size without overpowering other rings while still making a statement when worn on its own. The Amethyst measures 7.5mm x 10mm and is surrounded by an estimated .35cttw of diamonds. Currently fits a size 6.5 and can be easily resized if necessary. No hallmarks but fully XRF tested to be 14k gold and silver. Total weight is 4.1 grams. In just amazing condition for its age with a high polish to the Amethyst and very little darkening to the foil behind the diamonds. I know I often say that I want to keep things but this beauty is taking serious next level restraint when it comes to my urge to hoard...
