Beautifully crafted in 10k yellow gold (XRF tested 10.2k) with a super rich gold patina, this Book Chain choker is one of my absolute FAVORITE chains I’ve come across so far this year. The clasp (XRF tested 9ct) sits in the front and is set with three vibrant purple faceted Rhodolite Garnets adding a stunning pop of color right at the center of the clavicle. Finished with a 14k bolt ring for hanging pendants or charms making this piece incredibly versatile and super convenient.
With a total length of 15.25” it’s the ideal choker length without being too short for those like me who don’t have a super slim neck. The chain links measure 6mm wide and the necklace has a total weight of 16.3 grams. I have repaired a few of the links in the back that had come loose to reinforce durability but overall this piece is in great condition for being 150+ years of age. There’s a tiny spot of soft solder on the underside of the chain from an old repair but it isn’t visible when wearing, you would need to flip it over to look for it.
