An antique Georgian Pinchbeck & Moonstone Cross pendant made in England. When I purchased this I assumed it was pretty old but couldn’t see the details or metal up close so it was a bit of a gamble. After closer inspection I thought maybe it was a low karat gold due to the color being slightly lighter but after running it through the XRF she is indeed genuine Pinchbeck!!! The ratios came out at 89% copper and 11% zinc which is probably why it has a lighter gold tone. Completely hand-tooled setting with fabulous light grey and blue flash Moonstones. Measures 23mm x 40mm including the bail. I can confidently say this one is at LEAST 200 years old but most likely older - such a beautiful piece of history!!!
