These antique Georgian Amethyst Earrings are beautifully crafted in 9-14k rich yellow gold with stunning cut down collet settings we all so desperately love. The vibrant Amethyst teardrops are expertly hand faceted and swing freely below a perfectly matched round cut Amethyst mounted to the front of the screw back fittings.
Surprisingly comfortable to wear, these fittings feel great on the ear lobe and are in excellent condition for being nearly 200 years old. The screw backs are hallmarked with "14k" and the collet settings test between 9-10k which is very typical of the era. They measure about 13mm x
40mm and have a combined total weight of 10.4 grams. The stones are in fabulous condition with no scratches or chipping.
