An antique Art Deco paste Rivière with most INCREDIBLE refraction sparkle I've ever seen...
If you've been following me for a while then you know how picky I am when it comes to sourcing these Art Deco Rivière necklaces. The good ones are hard to find and the mass-produced ones are a dime a dozen but not everyone knows how to spot the difference. The pieces I source have to be the highest quality with 6-prong settings that have been hand-set and finished with a hefty weight of sterling silver.
This beauty fits all the criteria for a top-tier Rivière and the paste stones themselves are the icing on this sparkling cake. Crafted from thick sterling silver and set with beautifully cut diamond paste stones. There's an added feature to this one in particular with a small bail on the front stone so it's easy to add a pendant of your choosing.
The stones each measure 8mm and the necklace length is a wearable 16" with a total weight of 28.2 grams. The spring ring has a broken spring and needs to be pushed closed. I'm happy to replace this but wanted to offer it as-found first with the original clasp and give the buyer the option of the original or replacement.
