ANTIQUE • Art Nouveau 14k Yellow Gold w/ Natural Coral & Diamond Festoon Necklace
This antique Art Nouveau Festoon Necklace set with vibrant Coral and a single old cut Diamond is an absolute classic piece of early 20th century jewelry. The organic lines and symmetry mixed with exquisite details and craftsmanship are what set this era apart from any other time throughout history.
Crafted from warm 14k yellow gold, she's set with a beautiful 8mm natural salmon hued Coral Cabochon in the center of the quintessential Art Nouveau style frame and features a 10mm Coral teardrop that swings freely at the bottom. The top component is set with a single 3mm OEC Diamond and strung from a simple yet balanced cable style chain that drapes in graduated loops as it moves towards the back. The loops are each connected by 4.5-5mm Coral beads (4x) and the chain is finished with a small spring ring clasp.
The wearable length is 15" which allows for the necklace to sit right at the collar bone and gracefully drape across the way it was intended. Total weight is 7.4 grams.
Hallmarked on the back with "14k" as well as a makers mark in the shape of a heart (no letters inside, just a solid stamped heart). I couldn't find an exact match of this mark but if anyone out there is familiar please let me know!!! I'm a huge believer in wearing coral year round but something about this piece just screams spring and summer when worn against sun-kissed skin and paired with a warm weather color palette.
